Nursery Sunday School Youth Ministry

Caring for our Children

Nursery is available for both infants and toddlers in the east wing of the church during all morning worship services, Sunday School, and monthly Wednesday night activities.  On Sunday nights, the nursery is available in the Bride's Room, located in the balcony behind the sanctuary.

Our top priority is caring for and loving the children entrusted to us in a safe and secure environment, allowing their parents to participate fully in the life of the church.  For children two years and older, a brief Sunday School lesson and craft time are provided during the Sunday School hour.

We ask all parents to personally check their child(ren) into and out of the nursery at the nursery department desk.

Nursery Mission Statement:
The nursery of Redeemer Church depends on God's abundant grace to keep the gospel central in all its work, serving not only covenant families, but also non-believing families.  In our interaction and teaching, those serving in the nursery strive to be a witness to Christ by setting before the children a godly example and by training them to know and LOVE our Lord and to serve in His kingdom through the use of their gifts.  We pray with them and for them, asking the Lord to give them faith for their salvation.  Aware that the nursery is often a connecting point for visitors and/or non-believers, we seek to be warm, LOVING and hospitable, modeling the LOVE of Christ not only to visiting children, but to their parents and families as well, keeping in mind that to welcome these little ones is to welcome Christ Himself.

Any inquiries regarding the nursery should be directed to the Nursery Coordinator, Mrs. Laura Smith.

Sunday School
Redeemer is dedicated to raising godly men and women, beginning with the earliest years of life.  With that in mind, we provide some of the best Sunday School material each week for our children.  Our children's Sunday School runs concurrently with the adult Sunday School hour (9:45 - 10:35 a.m.).  Most of the children's classes are located on the second floor of the west wing of the church.  Greeters in the Gathering Area, located on the first floor of the west wing, will guide you and your children to the age-appropriate classrooms.

Along with Sunday School, our Children's Ministry provides opportunities for our children to develop skills in cross-cultural ministry and outreach opportunities along with enjoying friendships that will last a lifetime.

Questions about children's Sunday School and other Children's Ministries should be directed to Mrs. Phyllis Hurley, Director  of Children's Ministries.

Youth Ministry is designed for those in Junior and Senior high school.  Activities include Bible Studies, local outreach events, and social events.  All activities are designed to help youth in their spiritual growth, personal growth, and social awareness.

Youth Group meets at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays in the Youth Center, which is located on the second floor of the east wing.  Two of our seminary interns lead the group;  they are: Trey Owens and Roy Hubbard.  You can contact either of them by clicking on their names to send an email or by calling the church office at 601-362-9987.

The youth have written a mission statement:

"Redeemer Youth Ministry exists to share the Word of God with every people group, enfolding them into the fellowship of Christ so that we can glorify God together through the gift of ourselves as living sacrifices and producing mature followers of Jesus Christ."
